Megalodon means ¡®giant tooth¡¯ and most if not all we know about Megalodon has been scientifically deduced from its teeth. We know it was the largest fish that ever lived - about the size of a school bus (the big yellow American type) and we know it lived from about 23 Million to 2.6 Million years ago, well after the dinosaurs. It¡¯s teeth were up to 7 inches long so it is thought to have had a 10 foot wide mouth and eaten 2500 pounds of food a day. Awesome!
