PRODUCT  DESCRIPTIONS

InSight was a Mars mission in NASA's Discovery program. The launch was on May 5, 2018 and on November 26, 2018 the stationary lander was deployed on the surface of Mars. After less and less energy was available due to an increasing amount of dust on the solar panels, InSight sent an image of the surface of Mars for the last time on December 19, 2022. Immediately afterwards, NASA lost contact with the probe, followed by December 21, 2022 the mission was declared over.
